Fear of Flying Symptoms

The fear of flying is one fear that almost everyone who has flown has experienced to some degree.For a large number, it is no more than an annoyance; perhaps disagreeable but nothing too troubling. 

Others, however, experience physical and mental symptoms that can range from simply “tense” to “outright panic”.There are a number of useful treatments for the fear of flying.What will work for you will probably depend on where you are on that scale. 

Fear of flying symptoms often have real life causes that, if identified, may help a person with mild fear of flying overcome their anxiety.  What often happens is a person encounters a symptom, and assuming it is caused by fear of flying, they get more and more upset until major panic sets in.  If they can recognize that pattern early on, they can stop the cycle in its tracks and overcome their mild fear of flying. 

For example, unstable air pressure in the aircraft cabin often results in inner ear problems.Inner ear problems can result in a wide variety of unpleasant symptoms, including nausea, tingly ears and skin, dizziness and loss of orientation.These are the same symptoms that occur when a person is anxious, and if they don’t recognize the source of the symptoms they may psyche themselves out and accelerate their fear beyond a normal level. 

Additionally, spending long periods in the tight seats in an airplane cabin can cause muscular pain, joint pain, and tingling from lack of blood flow.  These too are all symptoms often experienced during panic or severe anxiety attacks.  Therefore, the passenger who feels these symptoms may misdiagnose a mere physical reaction to small seating quarters as a fear of flying. 

Clearly, there are those whose fear of flying is more significant than the mild fear described here.  For those folks, mere recognition that the physical symptoms could be coming from other sources than the fear of flying may not be enough.   But for some, this awareness is the first line of defense in combating their fears for good.

Are You Living With Anxiety and Depression?

Depression and anxiety are both serious mental illnesses. Unfortunately, they can be go together and make everyday life very difficult for people who are suffering. Due to the nature of both anxiety and depression, for a person to regain control of their life, understanding the signs and symptoms of the two conditions is vital.

While one condition doesn’t necessarily cause the other, it is not at all uncommon to see them manifest together. Considering the potential ramifications of both anxiety and depression, early diagnosis and proper treatment is almost always advisable.

Fortunately, if the conditions are recognized and proper help is obtained, they can be overcome successfully. Knowing that to have their panic and anxiety gone, is a relief in itself.

Signs of Anxiety

  • Eating habit changes
  • A desire to isolate oneself

Anxiety and depression are both serious illnesses. Both can be treated rather effectively if their signs and symptoms are recognized and acted upon correctly. Seeking counseling and even medication therapy can help put a person back on the right path. There are also other ways for alleviating anxiety and stress. If suffering from a combination of anxiety and depression, working through it alone is generally not advised.

Depression Anxiety Medication and its Consequences

Depression is one of the most commonly diagnosed conditions in the world, one that can affect men, women and children. Depression is a medical illness that affects the mind and body, and which affects the way that you think and behave. There is milder depression but then there are also the severe depression cases which can be quite extreme.

Most of the health care professionals out there today consider depression as being a chronic illness that can even be life threatening.

More than anything you need to understand the risks that come along with depression anxiety medication, because there are quite a few and they can be very serious.

Risks Vs Benefits

Celexa is another popular depression anxiety medication, and one that is also associated with quite a few different symptoms, including fatigue, upset stomach, headache, and insomnia. The Celexa withdrawal symptoms can be the worst, and this would happen if you were to stop taking the medication abruptly.

Living A Stress Free Life Requires Only Three Ingredients

Many of us are stressed beyond belief, but we can’t figure out why. And, looking at the retail sales of anxiety medications and over the counter drugs, we’re living in one of the most stress filled times in human history. It could be the fear that we’re losing our retirement money in the tanking stock market. Or possibly it’s the fact that one fifth of the job force where we work has been let go and we think we might be next. Or maybe it’s wondering how we can possibly bypass the negative influences of society to raise our children in a moral way. All of these things, and more, are slowly wearing us down and fraying our nerves to the point where we’re desperately looking for solutions to take some of the stress out of our lives.

One of the popular ways to deal with stress is to do whatever it takes to get just three things in life. A primary cause for people being so stressed is the feeling that they have somehow lost control over the important things in their lives. To obtain or regain that control, there are three primary things that you have to have in your life - money, health, and security.  It’s easy to be relaxed and stress free when you’re in control. When you have these three things - you’re in control, and relaxed.

Money - our society is controlled by money. If you have money, you can live in a nice and decent neighborhood and not have to worry about security. If you have money, you have health insurance, and can be sure that in the event of an illness or an accident, that you can get the best health care possible. But, in a time like this, when people are having trouble finding jobs, how can you be sure that you have all the money you need? The answer is, if you depend on others, then you can’t. If you want to have the money necessary to give you the stress free life that you crave, you have to take control of your livelihood outside of your employer’s hand. Doing that takes planning. And by planning, you’ll be able to decide if you need to go to school to get more skills, if you need to network to get more money making opportunities, or if you should start your own business.

Health - life is imply not much fun without health. When you’re sick, it’s stressful to your mind, it puts stress on your body, and it can be financially draining as well. There’s no way that any of us can guarantee ourselves an injury and illness free existence. But what we can do is to control the foods we eat and how we take care of ourselves. Researchers estimate that many of the catastrophic diseases that shorten our lifespans - heart disease, cancer, strokes, hypertension, diabetes - are largely triggered by lifestyle and food choices.

Security - everyone, even animals, feel less stressful when they have security. We have policeman to make our cities and towns secure. We have soldiers to make our country secure. And we have building guards to make our homes and offices secure. And as a result, we’re less stressful.

If you have these three things - money, health, and security - no matter how you get them, you’re guaranteed to live a pretty stress free existence.
